To the second grade classroom
We are making hyacinths
Out of crepe paper
Blue, pink, purple.
The papers are wet with
Library paste
The heavy flowers left to dry
On the classroom radiators.
Has anyone in the class
Ever seen a hyacinth?

I saw a flower once, but
I think it was a tulip.
Evelyn, you won't believe this but was just telling Mike Sunday whilest on our walk, that hyacinths is my favorite flower! and that it again brings to mind my Mom. The only time you did see this plant was at Easter in the stores :)maybe too far north to be perennials. But your words evoke those memories of paste and radiators and never experiencing things like these real flowers as a child. Love your works, thank you again. Light and Love, Patti
