The Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is invited
To attend a funciton this Saturday
Hoping he'll bring gifts
We wait expectantly.
What will transpire?
Most are curious, unprepared
To be set on fire.
So we shall be inspired
To receive and demonstrate
Gifts we have acquired.
Early in my life I heard a voice
In dreams, guiding my way.
It has taught me many things
It leads me yet today.
Most generous giving Spirit
You have magnified my soul.
It is the giver, not the gift
I humbly must extol.
